About Us
The Alabama Civil War Round Table was founded in 1990 by a group of Civil War History enthusiasts, and has grown to a membership of over 80+.
We discuss anything and everything that pertains to the American Civil War such as:

Our meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at:
The Hyatt Place Hotel which is located at 2980 John Hawkins Parkway in Hoover, AL ( see map).

* We have eight (11) meetings a year. We
do not have a meeting in the month of December.
Our meeting time is at 7:00 P.M. unless posted otherwise on the Home Page.
The first 15 minutes pertains to club business, and then we have a speaker from 7:15 until 8:00pm.

Answer to Trivia Question:
With some exceptions, Federal forces tended to name battles for the nearest body of water, while the Confederates named battles after the nearest community-practices which gave some battles more than one name, like Bull Run/Manassas and Antietam/Sharpsburg.
